The Endocannabinoid system (ECS) refers to a collection of cell receptors and corresponding molecules. Cell receptors are like little locks on the surface of your cells. The keys to these locks are chemical molecules called agonists. Each time a molecule binds to a cell, it relays a signal, giving your cell specific direction.  There are chemicals found within the cannabis plant that are believed to help activate, enhance, and heal the ECS.  One of these chemicals is terpenes, otherwise known as terpenoids, which cause cannabis plants and other plants to have a particular scent.  Over a hundred different terpenes have been identified in the cannabis plant so far.  Every strain tends toward a unique terpene type and composition which gives a unique feeling, effect, aroma, and taste when combined with other compounds.  

The “entourage effect” is a term used to describe how different terpenes and other plant compounds interact to create the unique effects in various strains and products. This “entourage” of diverse plant chemicals provide effects that differ from a single isolated compound like CBD or THC.  Abstract Alchemy has isolated some of these different compounds and rebuilt their specific profiles.  These compounds are now ready to be put into cannabis and non-cannabis products.  Our innovative team continues to create and design new products to add to our wellness line.
